Meet Our Mission Partners
At St Paul's, we are committed to sharing the good news of Jesus both locally and globally. Through prayer, encouragement and financial support, we partner with individuals and organisations involved in gospel ministry in the UK and around the world.
Our church family receives regular updates and prayer requests from our mission partners and supports them through prayer, encouragement as well as financial giving. (Church members can access the prayer letters and regular updates here.)
Each year we give 10% of our church income to support mission work, helping to equip churches, train leaders, reach those who have not heard the gospel and support Christians facing persecution. We are grateful for our mission partners and invite you to learn more about them below:
In the UK
 |
Gaines |
Based at a large manor house near Worcester, Gaines is home to XL Camps, which runs sports-themed Christian camps for young people. The site also hosts a variety of weekend and holiday events, welcoming young people from churches across the UK for fellowship, fun, and Bible teaching.
Watch a ministry update from Gaines here. |
 |
Torch Trust |
AChristian outreach organisation supporting blind and partially sighted people throughout the UK. It provides accessible materials for reading and teaching, including Braille books and supports the applied use of new technologies. |
 |
Phoebe Sleeman |
The Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) is for people who want to see today's students following Jesus. Their focus and emphasis is on Christian Union (CU) student groups. We are partnering with a staff worker, Phoebe Sleeman, who supports the Christian Union at Oxford University. |
 |
Mike Reeves |
Union School of Theology exists to equip Christians for a lifetime of faithful service to Christ and his church. Through training ranging from undergraduate to doctoral level, Union combines theological depth with a commitment to personal godliness, seeking to raise up leaders who delight in God, grow in Christ, serve the church, and bless the world.
Union's President, the Revd Dr Mike Reeves, is a member of our church family. |
Around the World
We are grateful to God for each of these partnerships and for the opportunity to share in gospel ministry beyond Banbury. Please pray that God would continue to use these ministries to bring many people to faith in Christ.
 |
The Donohoes |
Simon and Abigail Donohoe are based in Cherrywood, Ireland, a brand-new large housing development with no Christian church, working to plant, establish and grow a healthy local church committed to making, growing, and training disciple-making disciples of Christ. Simon is also involved in training a new generation of gospel workers for Ireland and equipping preachers to faithfully proclaim God’s word. They are Crosslinks partners. |
 |
Grace Baptist Mission |
Through Grace Baptist Mission, we support a family working in Central Asia, training pastors to preach sermons that are faithful to the biblical text, clear and relevant to their listeners. They also work with their local church to develop small groups and culturally sensitive outreach in this nominally Islamic country. |
 |
Janet Webb |
Crosslinks is an international mission society working principally within the worldwide Anglican Communion. We support Janet Webb, who does Bible work at Lighthouse Academy, a developing primary school serving a deprived community in the Western Cape, South Africa. |
 |
The Clarkes |
Through Crosslinks we also support Joe and Rachel Clarke (and their family) in Coimbra, Portugal. They are working amongst students with the GBU (Grupo Bíblico Universitário) - the Portuguese Christian student movement affiliated to IFES. |
 |
Lizzy Poole |
Lizzie Poole works with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Tanzania
Wycliffe Bible Translators long for a world where everyone can know Jesus through the Bible. They serve local partners worldwide as they bring God’s word to their communities in the language that speaks to them best.
Lizzie works as a linguist with two language projects in Tanzania, supporting Bible translators to produce a translation which is clear, accurate, natural and readable. |
 |
Open Doors |
Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. In more than 70 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term. In the UK and Ireland, Open Doors helps the church to pray, give and speak out for those who share our faith but not our freedom. |
 |
Ruth McKee |
The Shalom Centre helps children with special needs and their families in Arequipa, Peru. Latin Link member Ruth McKee works at this project. Our link with the project originally came through the late Dennis Smith, a former lay minister at St Paul's, who oversaw the Colegio Internacional in Arequipa. |
We are grateful to God for each of these partnerships and for the opportunity to share in gospel ministry beyond Banbury. Please pray that God would continue to use these ministries to bring many people to faith in Christ.
