Ernest Mulenga
Dear Friends,
It is with great sadness that we report the sudden death of Ernest Mulenga. With no previous symptoms of ill health, he died in his sleep on Thursday 5th September, whilst attending a study week at the Cornhill Bible college in Glasgow.
Ernest visited us at St. Paul’s in May of this year, and preached on the African Eunuch’s meeting with Philip in Acts 8. Who can forget him running alongside the chariot? Like Philip, Ernest was full of life, energy and zeal for the Gospel. He is now with his most treasured Jesus, and is survived by his wife, Annie and three children; Mishael (7) Raphael (3) and Nathaniel (3). Although we struggle to understand the Lord’s will at moments such as these, we continue to trust in his perfect goodness, and He hears our prayers which are with Ernest’s family, and his congregation back in Zambia.
A collection for Ernest’s family is being organised by the Cornhill Bible college where Ernest was a student. If you would like to make a donation the details are below. This will be mentioned at our church family meetings on Sunday, and we hope to make it possible for those not on-line to contribute.
