December 9th

Maybe you saw Brigid Delaney's article, "We're all so exhausted we need another word to describe how exhausted we feel" in the Guardian last week.
In reply, today's carol says this,

A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn’
Fall on your knees, o hear the angels’ voices
O night divine, o night when Christ was born
O night divine, o night, o night divine

"Could this be the new way of being? Could this be the one to show us the way? Could this be the antidote?
Imagine…A burden that is light. A way of being that is kindness. An antidote that not only shows us the way but is the way.
For all those who are weary of being weary. Choose this way. This new morn. Christ of this carol says "Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest." (With thanks to Nay Dawson for permission to quote from her article 'Weary' - do read the whole article if you have more time.)
